In June of 1998 Thrift Halo released its one and only long-playing record, “World Gone Mad”. With the original CDs long sold-out, initial plans for a remixed 25th Anniversary rerelease in 2023 were stymied by the band's management's inability to locate the original masters. After learning of the 2” analog tapes’ mysterious disappearance (the details of which remain unknown to this day), TSH HQ spent months scouring the archives for the DAT safeties from the Los Angeles mixing sessions in January of 1998. Finally located earlier this year, the DATs were passed along to our long-time producer, Kevin Mucha, to remaster the ten previously released tracks and several outtakes and do away with several ill-advised (with the benefit of hindsight) gimmicky fades which, in the minds of the songwriters, marred the original release. Now crisper, with a bit more sonic meat on its bones, the album will rise again. The fittingly titled “WORLD GONE MAD – The Remastered Deluxe Reissue” is tentatively scheduled to be let loose into an even madder world on May 24, 2024, on CD, Digital Download, and Streaming via Hi-Beam Records in association with Pravda Records and Pravda Music Publishing in Chicago. Distribution via Kool Kat Musik in New Jersey. The LP includes the songs: "If I Go" (once featured on the TV programs Smallville, Pensacola Wings of Gold and MTV's Parental Control, "Crashing In" (featured on the TV program Party of Five) and "Lead Me Back" (featured on MTV's Making the Video - R.E.M.)
